Statement of the 6th Session of the Asia-Pacific Regional Convention on the Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education (Tokyo Convention) Committee reflects the outcomes of the Committee’s meeting held on 18 November 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand. The Statement reaffirms commitments to SDG 4 and to fair, transparent, and non-discriminatory recognition of higher education qualifications across the Asia-Pacific region. It outlines priority areas for regional cooperation, including the ethical use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in qualifications recognition, combating educational fraud, recognition of partial studies and prior learning, and improving access to recognition for refugees and displaced persons, in support of learner mobility and lifelong learning.
