05 Jun 2022 Transformative Education is a policy brief prepared for the 2nd Asia-Pacific Regional Education Ministers’ Conference (APREMC-II). It highlights the role of education in equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes needed to address contemporary social, environmental, health, and economic challenges. Focusing on education for sustainable development (ESD), global citizenship education (GCED), and education for health and well-being, the brief examines key challenges in the Asia-Pacific region and proposes priority actions for learning recovery and longer-term transformation of education systems, in line with SDG 4, particularly Target 4.7.
